At this Texas home, everything is in perfect order.

On social media, a dedicated dog owner who is home to 13 golden retrievers gave followers a glimpse inside their adorable chaos.

SWNS claims that Collin Standon fell in love with a litter of puppies and ended up getting a baker’s dozen of golden retrievers. When Chloe and Sam, two of Standon’s three golden retrievers, delivered a litter of nine puppies, he already had three of the breed. Standon made the decision to keep every dog because he had extra space and didn’t want to separate his beloved pets from their puppies.

After discovering Buddy, a golden retriever who was on the facility’s euthanasia list, Standon decided he couldn’t be satisfied with just 12 golden retrievers and later adopted the lucky 13 from a shelter.

Buddy, Chloe, Sam, Emma, Chloe’s sister, and the nine puppies Rocky, Moose, Raider, Cowboy, Pumpkin, Sunshine, Missy, Angel, and Callie make up Standon’s current pack of 13 fully-grown canines.

Feeding the whole gang is hard work in itself.
Even just feeding the entire gang is labor-intensive. The golden retrievers use nine pounds of dog food every day, which adds up to 10 40-pound bags of pet food each month to provide the dogs with all of their nutritional needs.

The drawback of having so many dogs, according to Standon, “would be keeping them; being golden retrievers, they come with tons of upkeep.”

Standon is content to have all 13 of his enormous dogs living at his Dallas home, despite the expenses and challenges that come with doing so.

Happiness is an understatement, he remarked, “it’s not like anything you’d ever conceive.”
